Job Description

Dovehaven Care Homes are Recruiting for a Care Assistant to join our team at Marsh House, Ulnes Walton Lane, Leyland. Working two nights a week 7.30pm- 7.30am with every other weekend availability required- 22hr contact. Marsh House is a residential care home catering for up to 33 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

Job Responsibility

  • Assist other staff in the running of the Home and maintain high standards of care and service towards service users, relatives, visitors and other members of staff
  • Providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents

Requirements

  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home
  • Caring and sensitive to the needs of others
  • Committed to providing service excellence
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Able to provide emotional and social support
  • Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect

Nice to have

NVQ Level 2 health and social care is desirable
