The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the resort’s daily financial transactions while providing attentive overnight guest service. This position serves as both a front desk representative and accounting support, balancing the day’s financial records, reconciling reports, and preparing for the following day’s operations. The Night Auditor ensures the smooth operation of the Front Office during overnight hours and upholds Dellshire Resort’s standards of hospitality, professionalism, and security.
Job Responsibility:
Perform all nightly audit procedures to balance and verify daily transactions for all resort departments
Post room, tax, and other revenue charges accurately to the property management system
Reconcile guest accounts, credit card transactions, and revenue postings for accuracy
Prepare and distribute daily audit reports for accounting and management review
Serve as the primary front desk representative during overnight hours, assisting guests with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries
Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the property, reporting any unusual activity to management or security
Ensure lobby and front desk areas remain clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Process daily closeouts, batch credit card settlements, and ensure accurate night audit logs
Respond promptly to guest requests and handle service recovery situations with professionalism
Communicate any overnight issues or guest concerns to the Front Office Manager and morning staff
Complete wake-up calls, daily correspondence, and preparation for morning operations
Support emergency procedures and act as the resort’s primary overnight point of contact
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
hospitality or accounting coursework preferred
Minimum 1 year of hotel front desk or accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of property management systems (Opera, LMS, or similar) and Microsoft Office applications required
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Professional demeanor and commitment to guest satisfaction
Must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
