The Night Auditor position requires working a flexible schedule of evening and overnight shifts including weekends and public holidays and on call at all times. The applicant must meet the minimum requirements and must be able to speak, read, write English in the workplace.
Job Responsibility:
Organize the shift, and review and complete the following: remaining reservations, verify that all contingency reports have been run, resolve discrepancies with departments out of balance, verify no-shows and complete a walk report
Reconcile daily financial transactions
Process guest check-ins and check-outs, handle reservations and ensure accuracy in billing and accounting records
Respond to guest inquiries and address any issues that arise during the night
Communicate with next shift associates by logging pertinent information through hotel’s pass-along system
Provide the highest quality of service to guests at all times
He/she will be responsible for reconciling Food & Beverage, Front office and all the credit/cash transactions for the day, effectively and efficiently
Close the business day in the PMS system and ensure all postings are accurate
Prepare, review, and distribute daily reports such as the Manager’s Report, Occupancy Report, and Revenue Summary
Record and reconcile all transactions in the income journal, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Perform all other duties deemed necessary by management
Requirements:
Must have at least one or more years of Front Office experience
Minimum of 2 years Hotel Accounting and Audit experience required
Working knowledge of OPERA and PMS computer systems required
Computer skills such as, Microsoft Word, Excel will be required
The successful candidate must be able to work shifts between 11 pm to 7 am
Should also be willing to work 6 days a week overnight shifts and if needed on public holidays and weekends
Must be able to speak, read, write English in the workplace
