We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated NICU Consultant to join our esteemed medical team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Job Responsibility:
Provide expert medical care and management for critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
Lead and supervise a team of medical professionals, including residents, fellows, nurses, and allied health staff
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols and clinical guidelines for neonatal care
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
Participate in on-call rotations to provide continuous patient coverage
Engage in medical education, training, and research activities within the department
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Communicate effectively with patients' families, providing support and clear explanations of treatment plans
Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or MS) with completion of a recognized residency program
Fellowship training in Neonatology is essential
Current valid medical license to practice in India
Minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 9 years of experience post-fellowship in Neonatology
Specialization in neonatology, with expertise in pediatric intensive care and critical care for newborns
Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural skills in neonatology
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
Proficiency in relevant medical technologies and electronic health record systems
