We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated NICU Consultant to join our esteemed medical team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity for experienced neonatologists to contribute to the highest standards of neonatal care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expert medical care and management for critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
  • Lead and supervise a team of medical professionals, including residents, fellows, nurses, and allied health staff
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment protocols and clinical guidelines for neonatal care
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as required
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide continuous patient coverage
  • Engage in medical education, training, and research activities within the department
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Communicate effectively with patients' families, providing support and clear explanations of treatment plans

Requirements:

  • Medical degree (MD or MS) with completion of a recognized residency program
  • Fellowship training in Neonatology is essential
  • Current valid medical license to practice in India
  • Minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 9 years of experience post-fellowship in Neonatology
  • Specialization in neonatology, with expertise in pediatric intensive care and critical care for newborns
  • Excellent diagnostic, therapeutic, and procedural skills in neonatology
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
  • Proficiency in relevant medical technologies and electronic health record systems
