Job Description:

This role is for a Manager of New Product Planning within the Specialty Business Unit of a pharmaceutical company, aiming to maximize the value of pipeline assets and create franchise asset strategies. The position involves leading commercial assessments, optimizing labeling, and acting as a commercial representative for the Japan Project Team. The manager will also collaborate with global and area commercial teams and be responsible for improving new product planning infrastructure and commercial assessment processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the commercial representative for the Japan Project Team, assessing the marketability of pipeline assets and leading competitive intelligence for the specialty market
  • Provide appropriate input to the early phase of the Brand planning process
  • Work closely with global and area commercial teams as an affiliate expert on pipeline therapeutic areas and assets
  • Share up-to-date information on pipeline assets and target diseases with the Specialty Business Unit team
  • Lead improvements to the new product planning infrastructure and commercial assessment/forecast processes for pipeline assets

Requirements:

  • Significant and meaningful experience (5+ years) in the pharmaceutical industry is required
  • Must have analytical skills, including sales forecasting
  • The ability to think strategically and anticipate future trends and opportunities is essential
  • A Bachelor's degree and a TOEIC score of 900, with fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking), are necessary
  • Experience in new product planning, business development, or business intelligence is desirable
