Job Description

At Buzzworks, we are more than just a hospitality group, we are a community. With 22 vibrant venues (and growing) across Scotland, we deliver incredible food, great drinks, and unforgettable experiences in neighbourhood venues people love. As we continue to grow, including expanding into venues with rooms we are looking for a New Openings Deputy Manager to play a key role in bringing new Buzzworks venues to life. This is a unique opportunity to be part of our openings team, supporting new venue launches across the business, building teams from the ground up, and setting the standard for what great hospitality looks like from day one. You will thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, bringing energy, structure and strong leadership to every opening.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the delivery of new venue openings, from set up through to launch and beyond
  • Lead and support teams on the ground, ensuring readiness across people, product and environment
  • Be able to support with training, inductions and onboarding for new team members
  • Coach and develop teams to build confidence, capability and consistency
  • Embed Buzzworks service standards, creating energy, theatre and a strong guest experience
  • Maintain high standards in quality, service, safety and compliance
  • Adapt quickly across different venues, teams and operational challenges
  • Support newly acquired venues, helping maintain stability and introduce Buzzworks ways of working
  • Play a key role in the transition from opening into a stable, high-performing operation

Requirements

  • An experienced hospitality leader in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • A confident trainer and coach who enjoys developing others
  • Adaptable, organised and thrives in new and changing environments
  • Calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A natural leader who brings energy, pace and a positive attitude
  • Detail-focused, with high standards and a hands-on approach
  • Passionate about delivering great guest experiences and building strong teams
  • Be a driver with access to your own vehicle

What we offer

  • Flexible working – shifts that work around your life
  • Training & Development – we support your journey
  • Stream App – access your wages before payday
  • Top 100 Best Companies to Work For
  • 40% staff discount across all Buzzworks venues
  • Internal progression opportunities – we promote from within
  • Extra holidays after 1, 3, and 5 years’ service
  • Wellbeing support – Employee Assistance, wellness hub, discounted gym
