Job Description

Ingredients are at the heart of our product. As we continue expanding our menus and concepts across the Nordics, the need for faster innovation, greater ingredient variety and stronger structure around ingredient onboarding has never been greater. As our Ingredient Project Manager, you will own and drive end-to-end New Ingredient Development (NID) across Sweden, Norway and Denmark, ensuring new ingredients move efficiently from idea to menu while balancing quality, cost, operational feasibility and speed-to-market. Sitting within the Culinary (Product) team, you will act as the central connector between Product and Sourcing, partnering closely with Local and International Sourcing Managers, FSQA, Supply Chain, Marketing and Menu Planning to ensure seamless onboarding and transparency on progress, risks and opportunities. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you will bring structure to ingredient development, challenge existing constraints such as packaging, shelf life and certification requirements, and unlock opportunities that enable us to innovate faster without compromising quality or margin.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and drive cross-functional ingredient onboarding projects from brief through to menu launch across the Nordic markets
  • Act as the key point of contact between Sourcing and Product, ensuring alignment on ingredient specifications, priorities and timelines
  • Build and maintain a clear, real-time New Ingredient Development (NID) pipeline, including concept allocation, risks, dependencies and expected launch timing
  • Increase speed-to-menu by improving structure, visibility and alignment across stakeholders
  • Identify structural blockers such as packaging formats, transit trials, shelf life or certification requirements, and define clear action plans to unlock high-potential ingredients
  • Create data-driven business cases for high-impact or high-risk ingredients to support leadership decision-making
  • Develop and maintain a quarterly ingredient ideation and onboarding roadmap aligned with consumer trends, competitor activity and learnings from other markets
  • Review and validate ingredient pricing, specifications and operational conditions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Participate in supplier workshops to leverage supplier capabilities and accelerate innovation
  • Contribute to the wider Culinary team through tastings, feedback sessions and ingredient evaluations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, retail, meal kits or a similar fast-paced food environment
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to build structured business cases and evaluate ingredient opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with Excel or Google Sheets to support decision-making
  • A structured and proactive approach with the ability to navigate complex environments and drive progress
  • Excellent communication skills in English (a Nordic language is a plus)
  • Passion for food innovation and understanding of Nordic food culture and consumer expectations

What we offer

  • HelloFresh Discounts – Enjoy 65% off your HelloFresh Meal Box and 40% off Factor_ subscriptions
  • Learning and Development – Make the most of a dedicated Learning & Development budget, the HelloMint mentorship program, and the opportunity to request training tailored to your role and career growth
  • Global Collaboration – Work closely with talented colleagues across international HelloFresh markets, sharing insights and driving innovation together
