Job Description:

A CommonSpirit Health Nurse Resident is a new graduate direct clinical care registered nurse (RN) who continues to develop nursing knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors introduced in formal education as they transition into practice.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build skills to utilize current evidence based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking and problem solving skills to provide holistic care
  • Collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team
  • Develop accountability for own practice, delegated care, and the coordination of care delivery
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge in nursing practice and assume responsibility for professional development
  • Demonstrate core competencies in Taking Ownership, Teamwork, Patient/Customer Focus, Leading through Mission Vision and Values, Effective communication, Patient Safety, Clinical Performance Improvement, Continuous Learning, Followership, Service Excellence, Healthcare Knowledge, Nursing Assessment and Care, Decision-Making and Critical Thinking, Clinical Skills

Requirements:

  • Associates Of Science Nursing and 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
