Job Description

Entry-level position for new graduates in accounting. The firm provides training programs to prepare candidates for their career, offering immersion in a variety of job types and client industries to help develop specialty expertise. The role involves tax preparation, financial statement work, bookkeeping, and client service during a standard workweek with extended hours during tax season.

Job Responsibility

  • 35-hour workweek outside of tax season
  • Additional hours required from February 1 through April 15
  • Organization of tax information, preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Preparation of workpapers and financial statements
  • Assisting with tax notices and projects
  • Bookkeeping tasks and department assistance
  • Ability to apply general knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles to client engagements
  • Take accountability and responsibility for quality work
  • Meet annual Continued Professional Education (CPE) requirements
  • Business development and personal growth expectations
  • Respond promptly to team members and clients to uphold the client service experience

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Plan to pursue CPA exam and license
  • Completed or pursuing additional credit hours as required by the CPA exam process
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Highly-motivated and eager to learn
  • Can successfully multi-task
  • Willing to work in a team atmosphere
