New Grad Rn - Nurse Residency Program

• Provide compassionate and competent direct patient care under the guidance of experienced nursing staff
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and maintain accurate documentation of patient responses
• Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for patients, ensuring their holistic needs are met
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques to promote wellness and prevent complications
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols, maintaining a clean and safe patient care environment
• Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address emergent situations and provide timely interventions
• Participate in ongoing educational opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills, staying current with evidence-based practices and healthcare trends
• Uphold professional standards, ethical principles, and confidentiality in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues
• Foster a positive and empathetic atmosphere for patients, supporting them through their healthcare journey
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively convey information to patients, families, and colleagues

• Valid/Active Registered Nurse license (must be obtained prior to start date)
• Successful completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Diploma Nursing Program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association is required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (unit dependent)
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Adept at multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to fast-paced and changing environments
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Willingness to learn, receive constructive feedback, and contribute to a positive learning environment
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications
• Compliance with HIPPA standards
