As New Business Development Specialist, you are proactive and results driven, dedicated to significantly expanding our B2B customer base. Your primary focus will be on identifying, engaging, and securing new business.
Job Responsibility:
Proactively drive new business acquisition and direct sales through strategic outbound engagement with small-medium business (SMB)
Identify and cultivate new sales leads and opportunities through various channels
Serve as the initial key point of contact for newly acquired customers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver tailored, high-quality solutions
Continuously analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity
Skilfully negotiate and support contract finalisation with new clients
Actively represent IKEA at trade shows and industry events
Lay the groundwork for long-term relationships by ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Requirements:
A strong understanding of the B2B market landscape, particularly within SMB segments
Demonstrated experience in proactive, outbound sales
A result driven and growth focused mindset
Confidence and skill in being the first point of contact for new customers
Strong analytical capability to interpret market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity
Proficiency in developing compelling proposals and presentations
Excellent communication and relationship building skills
The ability to negotiate effectively and manage contract finalisation
A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
A commitment to building strong, long-term customer relationships
A valid driver's license is required for customer visits, trade shows and other events
