Job Description:

New Activity Risk Management Senior Analyst role at Citi, part of the Enterprise Risk Management organization responsible for design and implementation of firm-wide frameworks and practices integral to Risk Management. The role provides second line of defence oversight of products, models and attributes each trading desk is permitted to trade and supports transformation initiatives to simplify and strengthen existing control frameworks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide second line of defence oversight and monitor compliance with the Permitted Product List (PPL) and Product Market Model (PMM) combinations
  • Investigate potential PPL and PMM exceptions and determine appropriate remediation actions
  • Advice and provide on-going support to business managers and control function representatives
  • Develop and deliver presentations on key transformation initiatives and key control performance metrics
  • Support the New Activity Approval process, Product Risk Rating, Ongoing Monitory and Product Taxonomy Adoption
  • Drive successful and timely completion of projects/milestones to achieve business goals
  • Ensure adherence to new activity related requirements of primary regional regulators

Requirements:

  • Solid relevant experience and understanding of Risk Management practices
  • Markets/Investment banking business at organisations of similar complexity maturity would be advantageous
  • Risk management background covering market, credit and operational risk, including risk controls and risk frameworks preferred
  • Experience in project management, and large-scale processes in a financial institution
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
  • Strong quantitative skills, particularly around statistics and strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to partner and collaborate across the Firm, excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills
  • Takes personal accountability for escalating, identifying, and managing potential risk
  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree in business, finance, law, or economics beneficial
