As our Neurosurgery Nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center, you will take a leadership role in assessing and managing patient and family health needs for acutely ill adult populations within our dynamic Neurosurgery department. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care plans, ensuring evidence-based, safe, and effective patient outcomes. Every day you will provide hands-on professional nursing care, prioritizing patient activities while recognizing and adapting to changes in their condition using clinical best practices. You will serve as a patient advocate, leveraging holistic care practices and utilizing communication tools like SBAR to effectively liaise with physicians and other providers. Your daily responsibilities will also include meticulous documentation, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and actively participating in team collaboration to achieve superior patient care. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional communication skills, ethical accountability, and a proactive approach to multidisciplinary collaboration.
