Job Description:

In this vital role of Neural Nexus – AI Data Enablement (AuRA), Associate Director, you will be responsible for owning and delivering the workstreams for AI-enabled data foundations that power Neural Nexus across Amgen’s commercial and analytics ecosystem. This role focuses on the full execution lifecycle of the workstreams under AuRA (design, development, implementation, rollout, and training) ensuring solutions are deployed on time, on scope, and with measurable business value. In addition to strong program management, this role is accountable for data stewardship across Neural Nexus AI Data Enablement, ensuring that data assets adhere to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and align to Amgen’s Clean Core and enterprise data strategy. This includes establishing clear data ownership, stewardship practices, and quality standards to ensure AI-ready data is trusted, reusable, and sustainable at scale. This role requires exceptionally strong project and program management capabilities. You are accountable for the end-to-end planning, execution, and implementation of all AI Data Enablement workstreams under AuRA, ensuring delivery across teams, functions, and technologies. It is a data enablement leadership role focused on building scalable, governed, AI-ready data products—and driving execution rigor across multiple concurrent initiatives so that Neural Nexus platforms and AI solutions can move fast with trust. You will partner closely with Commercial Analytics, CD&A, AI&D, Tech and Engineering teams, serving as the point of accountability for AuRA delivery outcomes. This is a hands-on delivery role where attention to execution detail, tactical coordination, and dedicated mentality will be critical for success. This role is ideal for a seasoned data enablement or analytics leader with strong program management expertise and cross-functional execution experience, who thrives on driving complex initiatives from concept through implementation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and deliver the workstreams for AI-enabled data foundations that power Neural Nexus across Amgen’s commercial and analytics ecosystem
  • Focus on the full execution lifecycle of the workstreams under AuRA (design, development, implementation, rollout, and training)
  • Ensure solutions are deployed on time, on scope, and with measurable business value
  • Accountable for data stewardship across Neural Nexus AI Data Enablement, ensuring that data assets adhere to FAIR principles and align to Amgen’s Clean Core and enterprise data strategy
  • Establish clear data ownership, stewardship practices, and quality standards
  • Accountable for the end-to-end planning, execution, and implementation of all AI Data Enablement workstreams under AuRA
  • Partner closely with Commercial Analytics, CD&A, AI&D, Tech and Engineering teams
  • Complete delivery plans for AI Data Enablement initiatives and AuRA workstreams
  • Support business and platform teams by translating commercial requirements into clear delivery objectives and executable working plans
  • Supply tactical input to broader program planning by identifying risks, blockers, and dependencies
  • Own the roadmap execution and delivery health across all AuRA workstreams
  • Lead the end-to-end execution of AI Data Enablement capabilities, from intake and design through build, deployment, and operationalization
  • Drive agile development cycles in collaboration with Tech, AI&D, and Engineering teams
  • Manage execution across multiple workstreams using structured project and program management practices
  • Coordinate internal readiness activities, including UAT, access setup, system integration, documentation and operational handoff
  • Direct and coordinate delivery across commercial, analytics, field-facing, platform, AI, and technology teams
  • Serve as a key tactical liaison between technical delivery teams and business users
  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution by facilitating planning forums, status reviews, and dependency management
  • Work cross-functionally to troubleshoot blockers and maintain delivery velocity
  • Provide status updates and delivery dashboards for AI Data Enablement initiatives
  • Embed data stewardship, FAIR principles, and Clean Core alignment into roadmap planning, delivery prioritization, and execution decisions
  • Communicate data readiness implications, risks, changes and tradeoffs to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate with platform leadership to align solution rollout timing and messaging
  • Enable downstream analytics, brand, Field and platform teams to self-serve trusted, AI-ready data products
  • Coordinate enablement activities such as training sessions, data product onboarding, office hours, and working sessions
  • Ensure data products are discoverable, well-documented, and stewarded
  • Partner with change enablement and analytics teams to track adoption metrics and gather user feedback and value realization metrics
  • Identify usage trends and value realization metrics
  • Support change management by ensuring that solution delivery includes all necessary comms, onboarding materials, and process readiness steps
  • Facilitate feedback loops to identify areas for enhancement or retraining
  • Help maintain and iterate on delivery processes and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree and 3 years of data enablement, project management in Life Sciences, analytics, or related fields
  • Master’s degree and 5 years of data enablement, project management in Life Sciences, analytics, or related fields
  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of data enablement, project management in Life Sciences, analytics, or related fields
  • Associate’s degree and 12 years of data enablement, project management in Life Sciences, analytics, or related fields
  • In-depth experience working directly with Commercial and/or Analytics functions, translating business needs into scalable data enablement solutions
  • Demonstrated strength in project & program management and data stewardship principles including data ownership, quality accountability, and lifecycle management, leading complex, cross-functional initiatives end to end
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with interdependencies
  • Experience acting as a delivery owner, not just a contributor
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML and GenAI data requirements, including feature engineering and data pipelines
  • Proven ability to operationalize data governance without slowing delivery
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including influencing senior technical and business leaders
  • Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity, fast-paced, and cross-functional delivery environments.
