This onsite Field Tech Specialist, who needs to have extensive Networking Infrastructure skills and related experience, will be the primary technical Subject Matter Expert and Point of Contact for the supporting for one of our prominent manufacturing client's that is located in Avon, Indiana. This Client Facing Network- Skilled Field Tech Specialist is considered the Resident Expert, and will help to support and provide strategic leadership and guidance for the Client, their Networking Towers, as well as, being the onsite Lead to the existing NTT DATA team members. Communication and having solid Client facing experience is critical for the success of this fulltime position. **This role will require travel within per the needs of the end client this role is supporting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Make policy recommendations to their managers and be an escalation point for less experienced team members
  • Provide mentoring, training and guidance about troubleshooting and diagnosis to all other field service technicians
  • Extensive Networking knowledge, Server, Switches, LAN/WAN etc.
  • Participation / taking lead during outages P1/P2 for the respective locations supporting
  • Keeping the documentation for every server room up to date with Pictures / supporting views
  • Help maintaining the inventory of IT physical assets both on End user and Server
  • Expertise per location on side equipment / scan guns
  • Perform impact analysis for special events and provide necessary support (Business and IT Events, weekend exchange test, people center power down, data center isolation test)
  • Providing general IT 2nd/3th line support to the location
  • If needed Installation and configuration of system components and server software
  • Configuration management tasks & procedures
  • Advise supporting towers in areas such as capacity management, contingency planning, IT service continuity management, automation of repetitive tasks, security
  • Participate in defining and documenting configuration of systems & infrastructure
  • Participate in defining and documenting operational procedures
  • Draft technical content for knowledge base for use of upstream support teams
  • Participation in coordination and project meetings
  • Analyzes moderately complex to complex problems and takes corrective action at the service area level
  • Participate in all compatibility testing prior to rollout of any new software/ technology
  • This Professional should have a well-rounded knowledge of the policies and procedures for their work area

Requirements:

  • 4+ years' of Networking Infrastructure Experience
  • Solid client service skills: Ability to clearly and concisely communicate effectively with a diverse group of team members and outside vendors/end client
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Intermediate Microsoft operating system knowledge as well as Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Net+ , Cisco certifications, and/or additional networking or relevant certifications is highly preferred
  • Undergraduate degree or some college coursework preferred
