As the Networking and Security Lead, you will lead our networking and security initiatives across our hybrid infrastructure. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our networking team, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our infrastructure, which includes 700+ endpoints, hybrid workers, and a mix of on-premises and cloud-based services. You will drive improvements to our network, ensure appropriate security practices, and implement a 24/7 monitoring service. A key focus will be reducing friction in the end-user experience, ensuring seamless connectivity and security for our teams, wherever they are working.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage the networking and security team, fostering collaboration and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Manage our network infrastructure and connectivity, ensuring high availability and performance across 700+ endpoints, onsite in Frankfurt as well as our colocation facilities
  • Manage our device access control, utilizing technology such as Palo Alto, WAFs, Cisco, O365, and Intune for all edge of network security
  • Endpoint detection and response, improving our endpoint security posture including mobiles, cloud services, desktops, and mobile devices
  • Create and manage the department’s budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources
  • Establish and develop a 24/7 security monitoring service, utilizing the existing team and identifying necessary tools and processes to develop our incident response plan
  • Collaborate with IT and wider stakeholders to embed networking and security initiatives to enhance our users experience
  • Plan and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies in collaboration with the IT Director

Requirements

  • CISSP certification (or currently preparing to take the exam)
  • 7+ years of experience within security fields with at least 3 of these in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure including design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of corporate firewalls, corporate networks, colocation and cloud environments
  • Demonstrate ability in all areas of detection. NDR, EDR, XDR and AI-Driven detection
  • Solid understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, compliance, and security standards
  • Experience in managing and developing budgets to assign resources
