Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Network/Systems Engineer to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. In this long-term contract role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient network and system solutions to support business operations. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the stability and security of IT infrastructure.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, implement, and manage network solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Monitor and maintain network devices, including FortiGate, Palo Alto Firewalls, and Cisco systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues to minimize downtime and disruptions
  • Perform regular security assessments and updates to safeguard IT infrastructure
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and execute system upgrades and improvements
  • Document network configurations and system processes for reference and compliance
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in all network and system operations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with FortiGate firewalls
  • Expertise in Palo Alto Firewall configuration and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco networking solutions
  • Familiarity with network security protocols and practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration and support
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Relevant certifications in networking or systems engineering are a plus
