Systems, Security & Tooling Team was formed as a progressive operational support team towards the convergence of multiple Global domains across BT. We do this by ensuring we have the right people to achieve our high ambitions. We are seeking a passionate Network & System Security Specialist, to join the unit in the role of Security Specialist. This role will require a mix of hands-on technical development and consultancy, whereby the successful candidate will be implementing technical requirements as well as focussing on policy, governance and management. The ideal candidate would assertively implement change and be comfortable mandating this to achieve success. You will need to bring security awareness and strong security culture into the wider environment.
Job Responsibility:
Project Management
Knowledge sharing and train staff on security awareness
Work within defined team framework & security boundaries
Analyse Orgs & Roles to create access policies
Understand Technologies to assess vulnerabilities
Documenting internal/external processes for achieving optimal performance of computer systems through Wiki and maintaining Jira stories for prioritization of the workload
Technical Acumen: Apply your understanding of network principles to troubleshoot to assess security incidents and look at how you can optimize performance and enhance security across our infrastructure.
Incident Management and Resolution: Be prepared to support a 365x24/7 callout, providing third line technical resolution covering an extensive range of technologies.
Customer Focus: Be a technical expert who understands the end-to-end journey of our customers.
