Job Description:

Responsible for working with the Network and Systems Engineers to create, maintain and enforce security plans and policies effecting the network. Responsible for securing all information and information systems assets of the Company network infrastructure. Design/install/operations of VPN, SoHo, WAF, IDS, DDoS, Partner Access Solutions, Network Security Stack powering Zero-Trust, Firewalls and microsegmentation protecting CCS operations infrastructure (SIEM, DataLake, WAF, IDS, SOC dashboards). Plays a lead role in the design of security safeguards and ongoing verification of Company's network security posture. Acts as a Network Security Subject Matter Expert for the company. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist in maintaining the telecoms risk management framework and processes
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering and GRC/Security functions to gather risk-related information
  • Triage Telecoms risks through the risk assessment process
  • Evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified Telecoms risks
  • Collect, analyse, and interpret telecoms risk data
  • Create and maintain detailed reports, dashboards, and visualisations
  • Aggregate telecoms risks across UK, ROI and Italy
  • Monitor progress to remediate identified Telecoms risks
  • Support compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., TSA, NIST, NIS2)
  • Assist in audits, assurance activities, and incident investigations
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders
  • Assist in developing training material for key stakeholders
  • Recommends and ensures implementation of security safeguards
  • Ensures Network and Systems Engineers follow security best practices
  • Collaborates with the Network Operations team on disaster recovery plans
  • Works with the Network Operating Center on troubleshooting guides
  • Recommends policy for responding to security incidents
  • Researches new and/or updated technologies
  • Performs regular penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
  • Takes lead on security audits
  • Develops security scripts and recommend tools
  • Helps ensure that customer SLAs are met
  • Communicates regularly with development and supports teams
  • Provides insight and resolutions on security matters

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7-10 Years relevant work experience
  • 8 years to 12 years experience
  • Clear business acumen, patience, pragmatism, strong judgemental and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable knowledge of telecoms infrastructure and associated risks
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks (e.g., ENISA, ISO 27005, ISO 27001)
  • Proficiency in Excel and risk reporting tools (e.g. ServiceNow GRC)
  • Outstanding written and verbal presentational skills
  • Understanding of information security principles and regulatory compliance (e.g. TSA)
  • Experience in Telecoms or technology risk roles is desirable
  • Exposure to incident management and business continuity processes is a plus
