Our client is seeking a Technical Strategist to lead the development of a secure network architecture and roadmap. In this role, you are the primary architect responsible for protecting mission-critical network infrastructure and data through a "security-by-design" approach. You will move beyond tactical fixes to act as the custodian of mid-term security strategies, ensuring that all network and wholesale services meet rigorous industry standards and regulatory requirements. Success means proactively identifying emerging threats, prioritizing new technologies, and fostering a security-aware culture across internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Strategic Custodian: Direct the mid-term network security strategy and architecture to safeguard both internal and wholesale network service environments
Security-by-Design: Architect end-to-end security solutions by embedding security protocols directly into the foundation of the network infrastructure
Innovation Lead: Evaluate and prioritize emerging security technologies and industry trends to provide a strategic business perspective for organizational adoption
Framework Governance: Collaborate with security teams to develop and maintain robust frameworks, guidelines, and best practices for mobile service deployment
Technical Authority: Serve as the lead representative in strategic forums, engaging with industry bodies, regulatory authorities, and wholesale customers
Operational Planning: Lead the end-to-end RFP/RFQ process for new security solutions while providing strategic input for annual budgets and long-term operational plans
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
7+ years of professional experience in network security, specifically within large-scale telecommunications or wholesale service environments
Deep knowledge of security protocols and architectures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, security gateways, PKI, and encryption solutions
Proven ability to strategize and lead complex RFP/RFQ processes for enterprise-level security implementations
Strong understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance standards relevant to the telecommunications industry
Nice to have:
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent, along with experience in cloud security and IP engineering design
