DSST’s Network Evaluation Specialist – School Psychologist plays a critical role in ensuring students with disabilities receive high-quality, legally compliant special education evaluations. Reporting to the Home Office Exceptional Learner Team, this role supports schools in identifying students with social-emotional needs, conducting initial and re-evaluations, and collaborating closely with school teams and families to connect students to appropriate services. The Network School Psychologist, Evaluation Specialist will assess students for cognitive as well as social emotional impacts and support in creating connections with school based teams and the community to provide appropriate supports.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct in-school assessments and participate in eligibility meetings (on average) 4–5 days per week
Be assigned to schools and individual cases throughout the DSST network to ensure all students with disabilities have strong, comprehensive evaluations
Work on several special education evaluations simultaneously and support multiple schools
Build strong, collaborative relationships with members of the school Special Education Team
Communicate with General Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, and Special Service Providers about information needed and timelines
Communicate regularly with families, outside providers, and comprehensive IEP teams
Communicate regularly with the Home Office Exceptional Learner and Home Office Mental Health Team
Coached and managed by the Lead Network Evaluation Specialist
Requirements:
3+ Years serving as a School Psychologist at the middle school or high school level
3+ Years experience administering a variety of standardized assessments, conducting root cause analysis and writing holistic, comprehensive evaluation reports
An unwavering belief that all students can succeed in high school, reach their most ambitious post-secondary goals, and lead exemplary lives
Desire to personally and professionally grow in their practice of becoming an anti-racist and anti-ableist educator
Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color, students with disabilities, and/or multilingual students
Self-awareness, a regular practice of reflection, and a desire to continuously improve their practice, communication, and leadership skills
Masters Degree in School Psychology from accredited university
Hold a valid Colorado Special Service Provider endorsement
