Job Responsibility:

  • Build experience with Backbone, Data Center, and Network Infrastructure Engineering teams
  • Build, manage, and maintain multi-vendor, multi-protocol data center and backbone network
  • Develop optimized network monitoring systems
  • Design, and deploy new network architectures
  • Develop automated methods to mitigate and remediate network events
  • Analyze data to diagnose and identify root causes to network issues
  • Be an active participant in deep technical discussions
  • Develop and maintain consistency within the network infrastructure
  • Test new network products and pilot them in production DC networks before a mass rollout
  • Develop test automation frameworks integrated in CI/CD pipeline to qualify network software before push in production
  • Develop tests that qualify complex network migration procedures in lab/emulation before executing the same in production
  • Test software features in FBOSS (NOS software) partnering with in-house software development teams
  • Qualify and push vendor software releases in the fleet
  • Build and operate DC test lab networks
  • Participate in DC network on-call rotation

Requirements:

  • Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following: Building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques
