Job Description

Key Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 network equipment, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. • Support ISP-grade services, encompassing routing, VLAN segmentation, and basic troubleshooting of CGNAT environments. • Monitor network performance and respond to outages or service degradation promptly. • Perform cable management, patching, rack installations, and hardware replacements as needed. • Assist with POP site support and oversee regional network deployments. • Install and maintain IP-based camera systems (CCTV) for security. • Configure NVRs/DVRs and manage camera network integration. • Troubleshoot connectivity, image quality, and recording issues to ensure optimal system performance. • Ensure proper placement and functionality of surveillance equipment. • Install and configure VoIP phones along with related hardware. • Support call routing, provisioning, and troubleshoot phone system issues efficiently. • Collaborate with service providers to resolve escalated telecom issues. • Maintain accurate documentation of phone extensions and system configurations. • Install and maintain electronic access control systems, such as card readers, keypads, and badge systems. • Configure user credentials and access permissions for security systems. • Troubleshoot door hardware, access panels, and connectivity issues as necessary. • Coordinate with property teams to ensure secure and functional entry systems. • Respond to service tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner to enhance user satisfaction. • Perform preventative maintenance on network and security systems to avoid downtime. • Document configurations, network diagrams, and service updates for future reference. • Escalate complex issues to Network Engineering or IT leadership as needed. • Coordinate with construction, IT, and property management teams during new site deployments. • Provide status updates on installations and repairs to stakeholders. • Support vendor technicians during equipment upgrades or replacements. • Maintain an inventory of networking and security equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Networking, Information Technology, or related field is preferred
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience with network infrastructure, CCTV systems, VoIP, or access control systems
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals, VLANs, switching concepts, basic routing principles, and PoE (Power over Ethernet) systems
  • Experience with IP cameras, NVR systems, and structured cabling is essential
  • Familiarity with VoIP systems and SIP-based services is beneficial
  • Understanding of electronic door access systems and credential management
  • Ability to read basic network diagrams and wiring schematics competently
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to travel between sites as necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Ability to crawl, kneel, and work in confined spaces
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking job sites, and working on a computer
  • Ability to travel regularly between community locations is required
