This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation, provisioning, and maintenance of central office and core voice systems. You’ll play a key role in maintaining service reliability while supporting the transition from legacy TDM infrastructure to modern fiber/IP networks.
Job Responsibility
Manage central office operations including provisioning, installation, and maintenance of core voice, data, and peripheral equipment
Administer subscriber data and switch translations (adds, moves, changes, deletes)
Support and maintain softswitch, IMS, SBC, and broadband infrastructure
Monitor network and service quality
respond to alarms and service issues
Assist with migration from legacy TDM/DLC systems to fiber and IP-based platforms
Develop and follow procedures, including maintenance programs and MOPs
Support compliance activities including lawful intercept provisioning (CALEA)
Collaborate with engineering, customer service, and field teams
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
Requirements
5+ years of experience working with carrier-grade voice switch or softswitch platforms (Ribbon/GENBAND, Metaswitch, or similar)
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to identify root cause
Solid understanding of telecom environments and carrier relationships
Experience with Microsoft 365 tools for reporting and documentation
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
At least 5 years of experience supporting carrier-grade voice switching, softswitch, or network operations environments
Practical knowledge of SIP, provisioning workflows, and telecom service activation within central office or core network settings
Experience working with session border controllers, hardware installation, software maintenance, and troubleshooting across voice and data platforms
Familiarity with legacy TDM networks as well as modern fiber-based technologies such as GPON and DWDM
Strong diagnostic and root-cause analysis skills with the ability to respond effectively to alarms, outages, and service degradation
Proficiency with documentation and reporting tools, including Microsoft 365 applications
Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams
Willingness to work on-site in Medicine Park, Oklahoma and participate in an on-call rotation with limited travel as needed
Nice to have
Experience with TDM-to-IP or fiber migrations
Knowledge of SIP, IMS, and session border controllers
Exposure to fiber access technologies (PON, Calix or similar)
Familiarity with transport, timing/synchronization, and DC power systems
