We are looking for an experienced Network L3 Support Engineer to join our team in Montreal, QC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced (Level 3) technical support for enterprise network infrastructure, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring high availability and performance of network systems.
Job Responsibility:
Provide Level 3 support for complex network incidents and problems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to LAN, WAN, routing, switching, VPN, and firewall technologies
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring network issues
Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliability
Work closely with NOC, L1/L2 teams, and infrastructure teams to resolve escalated issues
Manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Implement network configuration changes and upgrades following change management processes
Document troubleshooting steps, network configurations, and operational procedures
Participate in on-call rotation for critical network incidents
Requirements:
Strong experience in enterprise networking (routing & switching)
Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, STP, VPN technologies
Experience with Cisco / Juniper / Aruba network devices
Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Understanding of network security concepts and firewall technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are a plus
Experience working in enterprise or service provider environments
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced support environment
