Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Network Field Technician with hands-on experience in fixed access networks, fiber optics, and telecom equipment maintenance, who thrives in a dynamic environment and is ready to take ownership of Nova’s network infrastructure and field operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Resolve system issues and provide solutions to overcome restrictions, ensuring the network operates efficiently in the long term
  • Install and maintain wireless computing networks, cabling, and connections
  • Install and maintain active telecom equipment (routers, switches, WDM, modems, etc.)
  • Install and maintain non-active telecom equipment (racks, DDF, ODF, cabling, outdoor cabins, etc.)
  • Inspect LAN/WAN infrastructures and troubleshoot any Layer 1 issues
  • Troubleshoot system failures and identify roadblocks in the network
  • Verify service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms, identifying, correcting, or escalating problems
  • Maintain and repair hardware and peripheral telecom devices
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance at NGA cabinets

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications
  • 4+ years of experience in Fixed Access Networks or Field Support
  • Prior experience with Nokia, Huawei, Adtran, or Ericsson access equipment (highly desirable)
  • Experience with single-mode, multi-mode fiber optic, and CAT5/6 cabling
  • Experience measuring optical or copper circuits using analyzers (OTDR, TDR)
  • Knowledge of xDSL and FTTH technologies
  • Experience measuring low-voltage power circuits using appropriate instruments
  • Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English
  • Strong teamwork skills
