Job Description:

The Network Engineer – Specialist in Planning plays a critical role in supporting technical activities and projects associated with Telstra IP product range, ensuring a superior network experience for the business and consumer customers through expertise in telecommunications networks, technology domains, and recommendations for technology investments.

Job Responsibility:

Contributing to the build, installation and deployment of multiple complex network technologies, platforms and/or systems
Work closely with other internal teams to achieve a successful outcome for stakeholders
Work closely with the various operations teams to support planning and scheduling of network activities
Support the expansion and growth strategies of the network, working closely with the capacity team
Maintaining a high level of capability in network engineering, including new and emerging technologies, networks tools, systems, and processes so that you can model continuous learning and actively provide coaching and mentoring of other network engineering team members
Support the deployment and management of internal networks
Manage the spares and global movement of hardware
Support the required activities associated with the management of an international ISP – global registry support / IP address management

Requirements:

University graduate in Telecommunication or related study
Industry certification is requirement with a preference for candidates with Cisco CCIE or Juniper JNCIE certifications
Previous experience with Juniper and Cisco IP networking and equipment in the service provider environment
Excellent analytical and writing skills, with an attention to details
