Job Description:

A leading organization is seeking a Network Engineer to support a large scale switch and wireless refresh initiative across North America. This is a hands on role focused on Cisco switching and Aruba wireless technologies, offering the opportunity to work on high impact infrastructure projects in a fast paced environment. The Network Engineer will play a key role in staging, configuring, and deploying network equipment, while partnering closely with project leadership and onsite technical teams to ensure successful execution of network upgrades.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support a North America wide switch and access point refresh initiative
  • Stage, configure, and test network switches at the Houston Global Support Center
  • Draft and review network designs in alignment with established standards
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and onsite rack and stack teams to execute deployments
  • Lead technical efforts during implementation, including weekend cutovers when required
  • Ensure network performance, security, and reliability standards are met
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during staging and deployment phases

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with Cisco switching technologies
  • Hands on experience with Aruba wireless solutions
  • Proven ability to stage and configure network hardware
  • Experience supporting network refresh or infrastructure upgrade projects
  • Ability to read, draft, and validate network designs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
