Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Linux Network Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for supporting Linux systems, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting in maintaining secure and reliable IT infrastructure.

Job Responsibility

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and operating systems
  • Monitor system and network performance to ensure smooth operations
  • Troubleshoot Linux, network, and connectivity-related issues
  • Assist in configuring and managing LAN, WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and firewall settings
  • Perform regular system updates, patch management, and security checks
  • Support server backup and recovery processes
  • Monitor system logs and resolve performance-related issues
  • Assist in network device configuration, including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, etc.)
  • Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and routing
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Basic knowledge of shell scripting (Bash) is preferred
  • Understanding of server administration and system security
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware or VirtualBox
  • Internship or project experience in Linux administration or networking is preferred
  • Relevant certifications such as Linux, Networking, or Cloud certifications will be an added advantage
