Network Engineer

• Provide network support: troubleshoot and resolve network issues including connectivity, hardware, and software faults
• Assist in installation and configuration of enterprise-level network equipment - routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.
• Monitor network performance and recommend optimisations
• Help implement and maintain network security measures (firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection, etc.)
• Perform regular maintenance: firmware updates, patching, backups to ensure network availability and reliability
• Maintain accurate documentation: network configurations, diagrams, process notes
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on project planning and implementation
• Participate in delivery of larger network projects - from design through implementation, test and handover
• Assist with training and mentoring more junior team members

• Some previous experience in network support or engineering
• Solid understanding of core networking principles: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, routing/switching
• Familiarity with enterprise-grade network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points)
• Basic understanding or interest in network security practices
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Certifications Needed - CCNA
