Job Description:

Knight Federal is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team at Fort Polk, LA. The ideal candidate will support the design, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of network infrastructure supporting JRTC systems. This role requires experience in enterprise-level networking, troubleshooting, and a strong understanding of security protocols within a DoD environment.

Job Responsibility:

Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, servers)
Monitor IC3NS systems and troubleshoot connectivity issues
Implement network security measures in compliance with DoD standards
Maintain and update network documentation and diagrams
Support system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes
Connecting, trouble analysis, repair of fiber and ethernet circuit to support end users
Respond to and resolve network incidents and service requests in a timely manner
Provide technical support and training of Cell phones & Tablets to end users as needed

Requirements:

Active DoD Secret clearance (or ability to obtain)
CompTIA Security+ certification (or DoD 8570 IAT Level II equivalent)
Experience working in a DoD or federal IT environment
Knowledge of fiber, ethernet cabling and connection types
