As a ND Quality & Field Engineer, you will take responsibility of the Field activities related to Fiber Optic (FO) access Network. You will manage fulfillment network design projects & local FO rollout deployment projects and lead the National Network Deployment Field Rollout in accordance with the guidelines as provided by the Head of Network Deployment. Under your responsibility will be: Field Construction, Field HSE & Quality, FTTH activities at Patras region.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise & coordinate field deployment activities which are carried out from subcontractors
Manages fulfillment of network rollout projects and resolves issues and problems during construction phase
Ensures that network design guidelines and specs are followed in FO construction
Responsible to secure that guidelines, standards & procedures on H&S are met in the field deployment
Perform field audits to ensure Health & Safety principles
Make short visits to corporate customers premises and prepare the Site Survey design which is a prerequisite to create the FO connectivity design
Prepare reports for field rollout progress status and issues
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering and/or TEI/IEK equivalent certifications in Fiber Optic technology, or Communications
Knowledge in optical fiber networks
In-depth knowledge of the following networking technologies: Construction of FO networks
FO passive equipment understanding
FO cabling specs
Ability to multi-task and prioritize job requirements
Self-motivated pursuing operational excellence
Effective problem resolution able to think on your feet
Think Simple. Focus effort and challenge complexity and provide simpler solutions. Communicate in a way that is easy to understand
Nice to have:
Relevant Networking related certifications are desirable and will be considered a plus
