10+ years of experience
High School Diploma or greater
IAT Level III certification in one of: Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), Fortinet Certified Network Security Professional (FCNSP), Juniper Networks Certified Specialist Security (JNCIP-SEC), Certified Modeling & Simulation Professional (CMSP), Cisco Certified Network Practitioner (CCNP)
Experience assisting Government Lead in daily engineering duties
Experience evaluating communication hardware/software and troubleshooting LAN/BAN/WAN
Experience providing technical leadership in integration and test of complex large-scale computer integrated networks

Experience designing and providing near real time full spectrum situational awareness of IT services

Job Responsibility

Assist the Government Lead in the daily engineering duties on systems
Evaluate communication hardware and software communication, troubleshoot LAN/BAN/WAN and other network related problems
Provide technical leadership in the integration and test of complex large-scale computer integrated networks
Schedule conversions and cutovers
Design and provide near real time full spectrum situational awareness of IT services, events, incidents, and infrastructure to support vulnerability analyses
Deliver Navy/Marine Corps NetOps control and visibility via electronic network management systems and Command and Control (C2) facilities
Facilitate the Government’s exercise of network operational control over critical services and infrastructure
Design and perform schema extensions for directory services
Perform system integration and server installation on server hardware
Perform system backup (Disaster Recovery), security updates, and system integration with HBSS

Requirements

Top Secret security clearance poly eligible
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or similar technical field
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
8570 compliance (IAT Level 2) such as CompTIA Security+
9 years of hands-on experience and expertise Cisco Network Administration or Network Engineering
2 years of hands-on experience supporting CentOS/RHEL Linux Systems
Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of Firewalls
Understand the operation of network protocols and Firewall packet and proxy filters
Experience leading classified network architecture, design, and documentation

Job Responsibility

Perform network design, engineering and troubleshooting support for classified programs
LANs/WANs/Site-to-site, VPNs/Point-to-point/point to multipoint and maintaining network availability for servers, storage and backup systems
Troubleshoot port security issues, VLAN issues and network outages
Control network management activities, data flows and firewall rules
Build network topologies to deliver content from specific providers to users
Design, implement or maintain networks for LAN and WAN systems
Provide engineering designs, and plans for installation, integration, testing, upgrade, analysis, and maintenance/expansion of the network environment
Prepare technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and design documents in support network upgrades and new mission requirements
Part of a team that may need work schedule flexibility in support team providing on-site coverage of 5 day x 12 hours/day operations

Requirements

5+ years of experience in systems administration, Tactical Combat Operations, and GCCS
Must have an active Secret clearance
Experience working in the CENTCOM AOR with partners and a good understanding of cultural differences and norms

Job Responsibility

Configuration and implementation of the SEWS GCCS-J software and systems, GCCS-J courseware development, providing SEWS specific GCCS-J Operator training to US and FMS personnel
In conjunction with the contract staff provide 24/7 on-call Tier 2 system supporting remote users, to identify and resolve hardware, software, and communication issues, document solutions, and develop recommendations to reduce the frequency of repairs
Maintain operational status of SEWS GCCS-J suite across several sites in the country of assignment
Maintain site network and data transport architecture to ensure timely delivery of data from CONUS to all sites
Configuration and implementation of the SEWS software and systems to include relevant system administration functions
Perform SEWS system troubleshooting with reach back support from SEWS CONUS for more complex irregularity issue resolution
Act as liaison between SEWS program office, contractors and local customers to assist planning of sustainment trips by CONUS personnel
Maintain Situational awareness of theater/country specific issues which could impact operations and travel
Collaborating with SEWS contractor and government personnel to plan routine and emergency trips
Respond to system outages to ensure issues are resolved per contract requirements
