Job Description:

As part of CVS Supply Chain Modernization efforts, the Network Capacity Planning Manager plays a key role supporting DC inventory storage and product flow. In order to design and update the network, it is necessary to understand what the current capability is as well as define the requirements of future states. In this role, the manager will assess and model capacity across key areas for their assigned area of responsibility under different operating assumptions, including inventory levels, product mix, functional areas, and different levels of technology, infrastructure, and automation.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assess and model capacity across key areas for their assigned area of responsibility under different operating assumptions, including inventory levels, product mix, functional areas, and different levels of technology, infrastructure, and automation
  • Partner with groups from strategy, operations, field support, operational excellence, inventory management and others on the network design team to examine process steps that can be taken in the near term to improve baseline capacity
  • Plan for future state, translating strategic needs into concrete project planning requirements

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in distribution, warehousing or fulfillment operations
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role
  • 3+ years of experience providing engineering support to retail distribution and fulfillment site operations
  • Experience with WMS
  • 1+ year of experience in project management
  • Ability to travel 40%

Nice to have:

  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • 1 year experience in data mining and query writing
  • 1+ year process improvement/ continuous improvement
  • Familiarity with labor standards and mapping product flow paths
  • 1 year experience with automation and technology implementations
  • 1 year labor management systems and engineered labor standards, including time and motion study
  • 1 year experience with material handling equipment, DC racking and storage systems
  • 1 year experience with Lean Six Sigma, lean or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Translate data insights into action
  • Influence leaders at all levels, from departments within buildings to supply chain senior leadership
  • Communicate and present information clearly and succinctly
  • Interpersonal skills and effectively able to build partnerships
  • Read, understand and recommend action based on design costs, P&L or other tracking data
  • Develop business cases and project plans
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Additional tasks as directed by manager
  • Master's Degree
