Are you a network professional who speaks fluent Python? We are looking for a skilled Network Automation Engineer / Developer to bridge the gap between traditional engineering and modern, code-driven infrastructure. This is a contract-to-hire (hyrköp) role, providing a seamless path from consultancy into a permanent position within our innovative team. In this role, you will be the driving force behind reducing manual effort and increasing scalability across our enterprise environment. You will design, build, and maintain the automation frameworks that support our day-to-day operations. Working across Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto environments, you will act as a vital resource for network engineers and architects—translating operational needs into robust, automated solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Design and maintain Python-based solutions for network lifecycle management, configuration deployment, and compliance checks
Use APIs (REST, NETCONF, RESTCONF) and telemetry interfaces to integrate network devices with monitoring and IPAM systems
Build tooling to streamline incident response, troubleshooting, and pre/post-change validation
Work closely with architects to transform manual operational tasks into scalable, automated workflows
Maintain code repositories and documentation while promoting best practices in version control (Git) and code quality across the organization
Participate in root-cause analysis and implement automation-based improvements to prevent recurring incidents
Requirements:
Advanced skills in Python modular design, error handling, logging, and testing
Hands-on experience with Ansible, Nornir, Netmiko, or NAPALM
Skilled in working with REST/NETCONF/RESTCONF and structured data formats like JSON, YAML, and XML
Strong understanding of OSI/TCP/IP, routing, switching, and security
Practical knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, DNS, and SNMP
Experience operating and troubleshooting production networks, specifically with Cisco and Juniper
