Codasip is seeking a Network and Security Engineer to assume a hands-on role in the execution, management, and security of our core network infrastructure. The successful candidate will focus on transitioning configurations to a highly segmented functional framework, securing critical internal infrastructure, and advancing documentation and automation workflows toward maximum operational efficiency. This position requires ensuring that day-to-day operations adhere to stringent security standards and support project environments requiring compliance with frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171.
Job Responsibility
Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot secure network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN systems
Implement and enforce security controls across defined network zones, including the DMZ and isolated compliance environments
Perform regular network monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure maximum performance and uptime
Develop and implement network security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard company assets and data
Conduct periodic security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate potential security risks
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define and implement network and security requirements for new projects and initiatives
Actively manage and evaluate network automation workflows utilizing tools such as Ansible and Git
Author and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures, Layer 2 and Layer 3 network diagrams, and technical articles within Confluence
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of one (1) year of professional, hands-on experience in network engineering
Comprehensive technical knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, VLAN segmentation, VPNs, DNS, firewalls, and network access control architectures (802.1x, RADIUS)
Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes)
Practical experience with enterprise-grade switch and firewall configurations (e.g., Cisco networking platforms) and VPN gateways
Nice to have
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCNP Security, or equivalent technical credentials
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), scripting languages, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible)
