Job Responsibility

  • Oversee daily network operations by checking switch performance, confirming connectivity, and addressing issues before they disrupt business activities
  • Configure and maintain core networking equipment, including switches, routers, VLANs, and trunk ports, to support reliable communication across the organization
  • Troubleshoot network ports, hardware connections, and related infrastructure problems to quickly identify root causes and restore service
  • Deploy and replace network hardware by loading configuration files onto new switches and preparing devices for production use
  • Support virtualized and server-based environments, including basic server configuration and coordination of infrastructure-related tasks as needed
  • Provide help desk and general IT support in a versatile capacity, assisting with a wide range of technical needs across the business
  • Contribute to infrastructure improvement efforts such as access point updates and server room enhancement projects spanning multiple buildings
  • Assist with maintaining and upgrading legacy network components while helping prepare the environment for newer technologies and cloud-connected solutions

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience administering enterprise network environments with Cisco routers, switches, and LAN infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of firewall technologies and standard network security practices
  • Ability to create and manage VLANs, configure trunk ports, and support switch replacement or provisioning activities
  • Familiarity with diagnosing network connectivity issues at the device, port, and hardware levels
  • Exposure to Active Directory and general server support within a business environment
  • Comfortable handling a mix of networking, help desk, and infrastructure responsibilities in a dynamic setting
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
  • Linux experience is a plus, though it is not essential for success in this role
