Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Neonatal nurses to join an enthusiastic, friendly, motivated multidisciplinary team whose focus is on the baby and family. We are committed to delivering the highest standard of care to our babies and their families. You will be joining a team who work a variety of shifts including internal rotation to night duty. Opportunities exist for personal development and staff are supported to undertake additional training as required. We also offer a very well received programme of simulation training sessions which develop knowledge and skills in neonatal practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide care to a range of babies with a variety of conditions
  • Work alongside an experienced team
  • Lead the nursing team ensuring the babies and their parents are at the center of everything we do
  • Uphold standards and be a role model to ensure quality of care is delivered to babies across the multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

  • Current NMC Registration
  • Degree or equivalent training and experience (RCN / Diploma in Child Health or RGN)
  • FLAP or equivalent
  • Post graduate specialist training in Neonatal Intensive Care
  • NLS
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a neonatal unit
  • Competent in all aspects for neonatal care from special care to intensive care
  • Continuing experience of mentorship within a neonatal setting
  • RCN degree/diploma level
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Willingness to undertake Neonatal qualification if not already held
  • Understanding of family centred care
  • Basic understanding of important aspects of caring for babies
  • Manage assigned caseload

Nice to have:

  • Level 3 safeguarding children
  • Management experience
  • Participation in audit and research
  • Neonatal experience
  • FLAP or equivalent
