Job Responsibility:
Perform respiratory procedures under physician direction and/or clinical guidelines in the care of Flight for Life NICU patients for Transports and hospital base
Responsible for patient assessments, care plans, plan implementation and evaluation and revision of therapy plan as needed
Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure the most effective and efficient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes
Utilize knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care
Support the organization vision and mission and practices performance improvement techniques to assure the delivery of the most effective patient care
Requirements:
Three (3) years of respiratory therapy experience including Level III/IV NICU, required
High School Diploma / G.E.D., required
Must have current state Respiratory Licensure (RLT) in applicable state of employment. Must have CRT by NBRC.
Basic Life Support American Heart Association, required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support American Heart Association Required ACLS certification from upon hire or obtain within 6 months of hire (for locations in Kansas, ACLS is required within one (1) year of hire/transfer date).
Neonatal Resuscitation Program Required Current NRP certification
Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport (C-NPT) upon hire or within two (2) years
Valid Driver License, required
Must maintain current on all certifications required by Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems
Nice to have:
Critical Care air and ground transport experience, preferred
Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
Associate Degree, preferred
S.T.A.B.L.E. certificate, preferred
