Job Responsibility:

  • Developing, achieving, and maintaining the goals of a Flight for Life NICU program by focusing on the unit or department's daily operations
  • Consistently promote a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers
  • Collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting hospital initiatives, and ensuring FFL are appropriately staffed
  • Assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence- based practice and education

Requirements:

  • Three (3) years in Level III/IV NICU experience, required
  • Two (2) years previous flight nursing, required
  • Five (5) years combined NICU years, preferred
  • Six (6) months clinical leadership, preferred
  • Bachelor Degree Nursing Required BSN or MSN, required
  • Masters Degree Nursing, preferred
  • Registered Nurse State of Employment Required RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable
  • Basic Cardiac Life American Heart, required
  • Neonatal Resuscitation, required upon hire
  • Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport (C-NPT) upon hire or within two (2) years
  • Valid Driver License, required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass the annual review of driving record for safe vehicle operations
  • Must maintain current on all certifications required by Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport System, required
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certificate, preferred, instructor within two (2) years of hire/transfer
  • Heavy Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

  • Five (5) years combined NICU years
  • Six (6) months clinical leadership
  • Masters Degree Nursing
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certificate, instructor within two (2) years of hire/transfer
