Job Responsibility:
Developing, achieving, and maintaining the goals of a Flight for Life NICU program by focusing on the unit or department's daily operations
Consistently promote a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers
Collaboratively work with nurse leaders in maintaining productivity, supporting hospital initiatives, and ensuring FFL are appropriately staffed
Assist in identifying staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence- based practice and education
Requirements:
Three (3) years in Level III/IV NICU experience, required
Two (2) years previous flight nursing, required
Five (5) years combined NICU years, preferred
Six (6) months clinical leadership, preferred
Bachelor Degree Nursing Required BSN or MSN, required
Masters Degree Nursing, preferred
Registered Nurse State of Employment Required RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable
Basic Cardiac Life American Heart, required
Neonatal Resuscitation, required upon hire
Certified Neonatal and Pediatric Transport (C-NPT) upon hire or within two (2) years
Valid Driver License, required
Valid driver's license and ability to pass the annual review of driving record for safe vehicle operations
Must maintain current on all certifications required by Commission for Accreditation of Medical Transport System, required
S.T.A.B.L.E. certificate, preferred, instructor within two (2) years of hire/transfer
Heavy Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Nice to have:
Five (5) years combined NICU years
Six (6) months clinical leadership
Masters Degree Nursing
S.T.A.B.L.E. certificate, instructor within two (2) years of hire/transfer
