Job Description:

Neighbourhood Officer – Long Stratton (NR15). 6 Month FTC | £35,535 per annum | 37 hours per week | Basic DBS Required. Service Care Solutions are working on behalf of a well-established Housing Association to recruit an experienced Neighbourhood Officer for a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Long Stratton. This is an excellent opportunity for a housing professional to manage a defined patch and deliver a high-quality neighbourhood and tenancy management service. The Role: You will be responsible for managing estates within a designated area, ensuring communities are safe, well maintained, and places residents are proud to live. The role involves a mix of tenancy management, estate inspections, anti-social behaviour casework, and multi-agency working.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a geographical patch, ensuring tenancy conditions are upheld
  • Investigate and resolve anti-social behaviour and neighbour nuisance cases
  • Carry out regular estate inspections and identify required actions
  • Conduct tenancy sign-ups, accompanied viewings, tenancy audits, and end-of-tenancy liaison
  • Represent the organisation in court and prepare witness statements where required
  • Support vulnerable tenants and signpost to appropriate services, including domestic abuse support
  • Work closely with partner agencies such as Police, Social Services, and Mental Health teams
  • Lead on community engagement and improvement initiatives
  • Monitor and follow up on fire safety and compliance actions

Requirements:

  • Experience within housing management or a similar customer-focused environment
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy management and ASB processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and case management skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently
  • Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Basic DBS (required for the role)
