Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to join a leading Housing Association in Manchester, in a fast-paced, unpredictable role that requires resilience, energy and a strong results-driven mindset. Working across a varied patch, you’ll take ownership of income collection, tenancy management and property standards, operating in an environment where priorities can shift quickly and no two days are the same.

Job Responsibility:

  • Take full ownership of income collection, arrears reduction and tenancy enforcement
  • Deliver a high-volume, KPI-driven service, including: 7–10 tenancy/estate visits per day, 100% income-related contact expectations, £750 weekly income collection targets
  • Carry out tenancy visits, estate inspections and property checks, ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Respond to a wide range of issues, including ASB, tenancy breaches and property concerns
  • Undertake additional responsibilities outside traditional duties, including practical interventions where required (e.g. property access, safety actions)
  • Act as the main point of contact for residents, resolving tenancy and neighbourhood issues efficiently
  • Carry out estate inspections and ensure properties, estates and communal areas are maintained to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate case records and utilise housing management systems effectively to manage workload and performance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a housing management or neighbourhood role, with a strong focus on income
  • Comfortable working to strict KPIs and high activity levels
  • Able to link income recovery with tenancy management activity effectively
  • Resilient, proactive and confident managing a varied and sometimes challenging workload
  • Strong decision-making skills with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
  • A driving licence is highly desirable due to the nature of the role
