Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and resident-focused Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join a collaborative team in North London. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality housing services, building strong communities, and addressing resident needs at their root cause.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the ongoing and emerging needs of residents, properties, and neighbourhoods
  • Build and apply knowledge across key service areas to effectively support residents
  • Act as a clear, reliable point of contact for residents within the neighbourhood
  • Work proactively to identify and resolve issues early, preventing escalation
  • Support residents in addressing challenges at their root cause, helping to build long-term resilience
  • Collaborate with colleagues, services, and partner organisations to deliver joined-up solutions
  • Apply systems thinking principles to continuously improve service delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external agencies and community stakeholders
  • Act as the lead contact for Tenant and Resident Associations (TRAs)
  • Promote and embed restorative and participatory approaches in all resident interactions

Requirements:

  • Experience in housing management, neighbourhood services, or a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and with external partners
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on early intervention and problem-solving
  • Understanding of (or willingness to learn) systems thinking and restorative practices
  • Commitment to community engagement and resident empowerment
