Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Experienced Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialist to support the 787 Quality Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift. Job Responsibility
Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment
Performs ultrasonic A-scan and C-scans of 787 composite fuselage and supporting parts, assemblies and structure
Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations
Utilizes technical competencies to provide feedback on adverse trends
Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products
Conducts on-the-job training (OJT)
Adheres to Boeing policies, processes and major inspection methods procedures
Requirements
Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing
must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 review
3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or units
Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend and overtime
Ability to pass near vision and color perception exams
