X-Bow Systems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced NDT Level III Technician/ Engineer to lead and oversee all aspects of X-Ray and CT Scan Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining X-Ray and CT Scan NDT procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing technical leadership to the NDT team. This role is critical to ensure the quality and integrity of materials and components used in our products, particularly in the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries.
Job Responsibility:
Develop, review, and approve X-Ray and CT Scan NDT procedures, techniques, and work instructions
Provide technical guidance and oversight for X-Ray and CT Scan NDT operations
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for X-Ray and CT Scan NDT methods and technologies
Oversee and perform advanced X-Ray and CT Scan inspections
Interpret and evaluate X-Ray and CT Scan results
Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and operation of X-Ray and CT Scan equipment
Mentor Level I and Level II NDT personnel in X-Ray and CT Scan methods
Conduct periodic evaluations and re-certifications
Develop and deliver training programs
Ensure all X-Ray and CT Scan NDT activities comply with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations
Maintain accurate records of inspections, certifications, and equipment calibration
Prepare detailed reports and documentation
Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and implement safety protocols
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate risks
Requirements:
BS in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (preferred, equivalent experience may be considered)
Minimum of 10 years of experience in NDT, with at least 5 years in X-Ray and CT Scan methods
Previous certification as an NDT Level III in X-Ray (RT) and CT Scan in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, or equivalent standards
In-depth knowledge of X-Ray and CT Scan NDT principles, techniques, and equipment
Proficiency in interpreting codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., ASME, ASTM, ISO, MIL-STD)
Experience with digital radiography (DR), computed radiography (CR), and advanced CT imaging systems
Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and defect mechanisms
ASNT Level III certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) and CT Scan or equivalent certification (e.g., NAS 410)
Radiation safety certification or training in compliance with applicable regulations
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to train and mentor personnel effectively
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and NDT-specific software
Must be a U.S. Person
Must meet federal government requirements for access to government information
