As part of continued growth, our aerospace client based in Wolverhampton, are currently recruiting an NDT Inspector to operate within the High Lift department on a night shift. The primary function of the role will be Penetrant Testing and or Radiographic Testing of welded aerospace components.
Job Responsibility:
Perform NDT Inspection of machined components
1 position will be tasked with Penetrant Testing/magnetic particle
1 position Radiographic Testing
Identify and report any issues related to product safety, and support any investigations related to product safety
Create detailed part specific technique sheets
Perform daily system process tests and equipment checks as specified in the applicable department procedures
Declare non conformances when detected
Assistance in quality control systems and investigations (non-conformance reviews)
Support continuous improvement deployment through active participation on Lean Events, Workshops and Continuous Improvement activities
Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the local EH&S procedures
Have a thorough understanding of the radiation safety procedures
Provide practical on-the-job training of trainees and apprentices, covering the following topics: Health & Safety (including Radiation Safety), Process Control Checks, NDT Process, Documentation, Operator Self Inspection (OSI) responsibilities
Requirements:
Qualified and certified to EN4179 Level 2 in Penetrant Testing and Radiographic Testing
Previous experience in Penetrant Testing and Radiographic Testing
Evidence of previous training and experience should be provided
