Job Description:

The Hermitage Clinic is a 112 bed private hospital in Lucan, West Dublin. Our specialised medical teams provide medical, surgical and advanced radiotherapy care to patients and are supported by the very latest medical technology. The Hermitage Clinic is committed to providing excellence in patient care using state-of-the-art facilities. The Clinic offers an outstanding level of expertise and cutting edge technology. We have the most advanced diagnostic imaging equipment available today, full Cardiological facilities including a Cardiac Catheterisation Suite and Clinical Laboratory services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care for all patients attending/admitted to the Hermitage Clinic
  • Work in co-operation with the Consultants and the Nursing team in all matters relating to patient care
  • Clinical Assessment of patients requiring admission/readmission and/or as warranted by an unexpected change in their clinical condition
  • Ensure that comprehensive handover, with full patient rounds, has taken place at the beginning and end of each shift, (morning and night)
  • Provide a non-routine phlebotomy service and cannulation of patients as required
  • Carry the cardiac arrest phone and respond to all hospital emergencies, for patients, staff and visitors administering emergency care in the absence of Anaesthetics or Consultants, and continue management until such time as the Consultant is available
  • To closely liaise with all Hospital Consultants

Requirements:

  • MB BCh BAO or equivalent recognised by the Irish Medical Council
  • Full registration with the Irish Medical Council
