Job Description

As a Crew Member, you will provide support to specialist neonatal and paediatric clinicians during NCAA transfers, whilst working alongside our amazing team of Pilots and Airdesk Coordinators. Reporting to the Operations Team Leader for NCAA, you will be based at Retford (Gamston) Airport on a full-time basis (40 hours per week). You will be the technical expert for the bespoke NCAA interior, stretcher system and incubator, so you can provide support and troubleshoot any issues should they arise. In addition, you will carry out tasks to ensure the aircraft and base is fully operational, ready for tasking.

Requirements

  • Qualified as Emergency Ambulance Crew, Emergency Care Assistant, equivalent or higher
  • Experience of working within healthcare (5+ years)
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Be able to work shift patterns relating to the role (inc long days, weekends, bank holidays, incidental overtime)
  • A good standard of physical fitness to facilitate lifting, bending, and carrying in the process of transporting patients
  • Knowledge of the National Children’s Air Ambulance, its organisational values, and the service It provides

  • Aeration and scarification is the reduction of moss, thatch and soil compaction which needs to be carried out in a safe and professional manner. The use of regular garden tools such as rakes, leaf sweepers and brooms to clear scarification waste
  • Working in a team or alone on machine work which can be physically demanding so good general fitness is required
