Would you like to be part of the National Childrens Air Ambulance team, playing a vital role during life changing transfers for patients and their families? A rare opportunity is available to join the National Children’s Air Ambulance (NCAA) as we continue to grow and develop our lifesaving service. As a Crew Member, you will provide support to specialist neonatal and paediatric clinicians during NCAA transfers, whilst working alongside our amazing team of Pilots and Airdesk Coordinators. Reporting to the Operations Team Leader for NCAA, you will be based at Retford (Gamston) Airport on a full-time basis (40 hours per week).
Job Responsibility:
Provide support to specialist neonatal and paediatric clinicians during NCAA transfers
Work alongside our team of Pilots and Airdesk Coordinators
Be the technical expert for the bespoke NCAA interior, stretcher system and incubator
Carry out tasks to ensure the aircraft and base is fully operational, ready for tasking
Requirements:
Qualified as Emergency Ambulance Crew, Emergency Care Assistant, equivalent or higher
Experience of working within healthcare (5+ years)
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
Be able to work shift patterns relating to the role (inc long days, weekends, bank holidays, incidental overtime)
A good standard of physical fitness to facilitate lifting, bending, and carrying in the process of transporting patients
Knowledge of the National Children’s Air Ambulance, its organisational values, and the service It provides
