BAE Systems is seeking experienced Interior Communications Electronics Technicians with experience in performing comprehensive equipment and system level maintenance to be part of our dynamic team located at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC), in Wallops Island, VA.
Job Responsibility:
Perform comprehensive equipment and system level maintenance on Interior Communications equipment
Schedule planned maintenance actions utilizing SKED program in accordance with the Navy’s Maintenance Material Management (3M) system
Be responsible for documenting all maintenance actions, including repair part requisitions, using the OMNS-NG program
Requirements:
High School/GED and more than three years of demonstrated experience assessing, troubleshooting and performing corrective maintenance and preventive maintenance on Navy Communication equipment
PQS 301 qualification is required
If selected candidate is not PQS 301 qualified on or before hire date, he/she must be willing and able to obtain PQS 301 qualification within 3 months of employment
Must be willing and able to perform in a variety of 40 hour work-week configurations
This position requires the successful candidate to be able to obtain a Secret level clearance
You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance
Nice to have:
Active DoD Secret Security clearance
ETA Fiber Optic Installer certification
Micro-Miniature (2M) certification
Experience with network devices and understanding of Operating Systems preferably RedHat or UNIX
